These terms are the agreement between you and RS TECHNOLOGY LIMITED (company number 17050418, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom), trading as Susten, when you use the Susten website and app. By creating an account you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy, which explains how we handle your data.
1. What Susten is
Susten turns your goals and preferences into a weekly meal plan, writes the shopping list, and maps ingredients to real products at supermarkets such as Tesco and Sainsbury's. It is a planning tool: we help you decide what to cook and what to buy. We do not sell food, fulfil orders, or deliver anything.
2. Susten is in beta
Susten is an early product. Features may change, break, or be removed; the service may be unavailable at times; and during the beta we may need to reset accounts or data. We'll avoid that where we can and warn you where possible, but you shouldn't treat Susten as the only copy of anything you'd mind losing.
3. Who can use Susten
You must be at least 18 to use Susten. Meal planning built around calorie and macro targets isn't designed for children, and we don't knowingly hold data about anyone under 18.
4. Your account
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account; tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
- One account per person. You can delete it at any time from the app.
5. Acceptable use
Don't:
- break the law, or use Susten to harm others;
- probe, scrape, overload, or interfere with the service, or try to access other people's accounts or data;
- copy, resell, or commercially exploit the service or its content;
- upload anything malicious.
6. Nutrition — read this one
Susten is not medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. Calorie and macro targets are algorithmic estimates based on standard formulas and what you tell us. Nutritional values for recipes and products are derived from recipe and supplier data and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date.
If you have allergies or intolerances, always check the actual product label before buying or eating anything. Our allergen filters work from recipe and product data, which can be inaccurate — they are a convenience, not a safety guarantee. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have specific dietary needs, talk to a qualified professional before relying on any plan Susten produces.
7. Supermarket orders
When you shop from a Susten list, your purchase is with the supermarket, not with us. We link out to their sites; we have no control over — and no responsibility for — prices, availability, substitutions, delivery, or product quality. Costs shown in Susten are estimates and the price at checkout may differ. Any issue with an order is between you and the retailer, under their terms.
8. Our content and yours
Susten — the software, design, recipes as presented, and branding — belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for planning your own meals. Content you put in (notes, ratings, preferences) remains yours; you give us permission to store and process it to run the service, as described in the privacy policy.
9. Ending things
You can stop using Susten and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and during the beta we may withdraw the service itself — if we do, we'll give you reasonable notice where we can.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability we can't exclude by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
Otherwise: Susten is provided as-is during the beta, and to the extent the law allows we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or losses arising from supermarket orders, inaccurate nutritional or allergen data (see section 6), or the service being unavailable. Susten is free during the beta; if we're ever found liable despite the above, our total liability is limited to £100.
11. General
We may update these terms as the product evolves; for significant changes we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Susten after that, the new terms apply. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction.
